About
Hi, I'm Caroline Kennedy, welcome to my website — Latentimage.
My work is acknowledging the inspiration of my environment — from landscape or seascape to still life images. I’m particularly attracted to pattern and repetition both man-made and that found in nature.
I spent many years using film and printing my own black and white images, even though I now work digitally, I’m still very influenced by my time spent in the darkroom.
I graduated from the Otago Polytechnic School of Art in 1996, with a three year Diploma in Fine Art majoring in Photography. This was followed a few years later by a Diploma in Graphic Design and a Diploma in Multimedia from Natcoll.
I work in Wellington as a multimedia designer and spend my free time making photographs.

Latent image — The light sensitive surface of film, when exposed to light in a camera, produces an invisible change, distinguishable only by certain developing agents.
